국제협력위원회 위원장 조건우

1. IRPA President, Ken Kase, has prepared a brief, mid-year summary of recent and upcoming IRPA activities.

2. Two IRPA Regional Congresses have been held in the last couple of months – The 3rd Asian and Oceanic IRPA Regional Congress in Tokyo and the 3rd European IRPA Regional Congress in Helsinki. Summaries of these meetings are available on the Web Site.

3. Radiation protection specialist, Dr. Hans Menzel has recently been chosen Chairman of the ICRU. More detail about his selection has been posted.

4. The IRPA 12 Proceedings are now available on the IRPA Web Site, IRPA Reports and Documents page.

5. A new ICRP draft report - "Environmental Protection: Transfer Parameters for Reference Animals and Plants" is now available for public consultation. The deadline is October 1st.

6. The U.S. Health Physics Society has developed the a position statement in support of the IRPA Guiding Principles for Radiation Protection Professionals on Stakeholder Engagement. The HPS has offered this statement as an example to other IRPA Associate Societies that may wish to develop similar position statements in support of the IRPA Guiding Principles.
